Crochet Remembrance 'Poppy Brooch' and 'Wreath' - Pattern now free to download at LoveCrafts.com
This Crochet Poppy pattern is designed by me. The full pattern is available to buy from LoveCrafts.com
This beautiful crochet poppy designed by me is very quick and easy to make but, be warned! They are very addictive. Once you've crocheted one you will not be able to stop.
I used ten of these cute poppies to adorn this 24" diameter willow wreath.
My crochet pattern gives you all the instructions needed to create your own Poppy Lapel Brooch. Why not make them for family and friends or sell to raise monies for a charity of your choice.
Happy Poppy Crocheting
Don't forget to tag me in any photos you post of your own poppy makes. I can't wait to see your own creations. I'm confident you will have many more ideas of how you can use them as remembrance or to just brighten up your own home

Catch of the Day - Crochet Hanging Fish - Pattern available to purchase from Lovecrafts.com
What you will need
This
pattern is a great yarn stash buster. Any wool can be used, just use the
correct hook size for the yarn type. If you use 4ply, DK, chunky wool then you
will get smaller of bigger fish.

needle
Scissors
Small
amount of stuffing
Steam
Iron and Spray Starch for blocking and stiffening the tail (if required)
Buttons
for eyes
Fish – starting at head/mouth
Hook 4dc
into a magic ring and pull tight. Continue to work in the spiral method. Use a
stitch marker or a length of yarn in a different colour. Pull this length of
yarn through the last st of previous rnd, this indicates the start of the next
rnd.
Rnd 1. 2dc
into each st (8sts)
Rnd 2. dc
into each st (8sts)
Rnd 3.
*1dc, 2dc in next st;

try to make body area a little fatter.

st; rep from* to end (8sts) ch1, turn

make the tail – flatten circle/sides together. From here you are working in

Rnd

next st, 1dc and ss into next st, 1dc into next st, 1htr, 1tr, 2tr in last st.
Fasten off and weave in end of yarn.
Finishing Off
Weave in
all loose ends. Using a black or contrasting button and white wool sew a button
either side of fish head. To help the fish’s tail to lay flat and keep stiff
when hanging steam flat and spray with starch and let dry naturally. Add the
desired length of hanging hoop. If you want to why not additionally, some
embroidery embellishment such as, chain or blanket stitch around the colour
change. Well caught! Your ‘catch of the day’ fish is now ready to be hung with
pride. However! A good fisherman always catches more than one fish…….. have fun
making lots more. I would love to see your finished creations. Please email
your photos to chloeandkato@gmail.com or tag me in

I hope you have enjoyed crocheting these ‘catch of the day
fishes. They will make the perfect unique gift or make just to simply adorn
